Hannah + Tony
This, by far, is one of my favorite sessions to date. When Hannah inquired about an engagement session on Roan Mountain, it was averaging at 80 degrees outside. The leaves didn’t look like they were turning anytime soon, so I said hell yeah. A week or so later at a Roan session with a different couple, it was freezing cold with snow on the ground and I thought my fingers would never recover from the cold.
God was looking out for us that day. On the drive up the mountain the temp kept dropping, but never went lower than about 45. Once we parked, I got my gear out of the car and zipped up in the biggest winter coat I had. Halfway up the hike I had to stop and take off my jacket because of how much I was sweating. There was barely any snow left, no frosty wind in our faces, and it felt more like a beautiful afternoon in late September, rather than the winter vibes November has been giving out. It was the perfect day, with the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen.
Hannah and Tony are my ideal clients. They were so fun and laid back. And they laughed at my stupid jokes!
Days like this day are exactly why I love my job. Getting to meet and make friendships with couples so full of love and laughter – it’s the sweetest thing.
